Uber is a global peer to peer ride-sharing company founded in 2009. Founded by Garett Camp and Travis Kalanick who had both sold their start-ups, Uber has its headquarters in San Francisco, California, USA. Uber presently operates in 780 metropolises around the world. As of June 2018, Uber made an impressive milestone with 10 billion trips under its belt, for both rides and deliveries. Uber offers different riders’ services across the world. Some of its services include UberAssist, UberBlack, UberBoat, UberRent, UberBike, UberAuto and various others. The prices of fare for rides isn’t fixed, they are determined by various factors such as the time of the day, the distance of the journey, the supply and demand for rides at that time of the day. Uber offers riders to pay using different payment options such as CreditCard, ApplePay, Google Pay, Airtel Mobile wallet in India etc. To become a driver for Uber, the company does background checks on individuals before approval. In addition, Uber allows both riders and drivers to rate each other. The company’s platform is accessible via its websites and its mobile application.

Just like their mobile app, Uber has two referral programs – a separate one for riders and drivers. To earn a referral bonus as a rider, all you need to do is to sign up and share your invite code or link. You get a reward when your referred friend enters your link/code even before requesting a trip. As some point in time, referral credit was $10. Presently, Ubers offers $20 dual-sided reward. To earn referral credits as a driver, a newly referred driver has to sign up using your referred link/code and must complete a number of trips and other conditions. Uber drivers can earn up to $200 in referral bonus. It should be noted that referral bonuses differ for various countries.
